Summer Greetings. We continue in Class B mode until August 13th. That means, we will not start anything new as a Troop; we will meet every Tuesday at 7:00; we are there to finish off any partial requirements and we will wear Class B uniforms.
Some upcoming dates that need to be entered into your schedule:
    July 19th-lock in at the Church. Drop off 7:00 and pick up at 7:00.
    July 30th-SPL meeting
    August 13th-First back to regular meeting, meeting and Committee meeting
    August 23rd-25th-camp out/canoeing
    August 27th-SPL meeting
    September 7th-day hike at Herb Parsons
    September 17th-Court of Honor
We need to have updated medical forms and swim tests for each Scout. If they went to camp, we have them. If they did not, please get the medical forms filled out and watch for an email regarding a swim test. We are trying to arrange with Bartlett Parks.
Another item we will be arranging soon is a Troop mobilization. This is a requirement for the Emergency Preparedness merit badge. It does teach the Scouts to think in a crises situation. It is supposed to be spontaneous, but this is a horrible inconvenience to parents. We will coordinate our emergency with a Troop and Committee meeting. (hint: see August 13th above).
I know most of our Scouts need service hours. I have spoken to the youth director at St Philip and there is an annual event the Church sponsors called Operation Backpack. It is coming up at the end of July. Please look for another email coming as soon as I can get more info.
